On the road with the QOOL chopping board
The QOOL cutting board makes your outdoor adventure even more comfortable. The cutting board was made to fit the QOOL box lid perfectly so that it doesn't slip when cutting and sits stably.

If you want to cut juicy fruit and vegetables or meat on the board, the practical juice groove is the perfect place to catch all the liquids. If you don't need the juice groove, the board can simply be turned over.

As with our QOOL boxes, the issue of sustainability is central to our accessories. Our chopping boards are lovingly handcrafted in the Spessart region of Germany. The wood for the production comes from carefully selected, sustainable forestry. Each of the boards is also marked with an individually hammered-in number, making it possible to identify the products.

The right care for your board
In order to enjoy your cutting board for as long as possible, proper care is very important.

After use
After you have cut meat or fish on the cutting board, the board should be rinsed briefly with hot water on both sides. Both sides should be wet evenly so that the board does not warp when it dries.
The board should then be placed on edge and leaned against the wall so that it can dry well on both sides.
If an unpleasant odour, for example from onions and garlic, sticks to the board, you can remedy this with baking soda. To do this, first clean the board on both sides with water and then rub it with baking soda. After a short soaking time, the board can be washed off again.

What you should not doOLD
Under no circumstances should the board be cleaned in the dishwasher. You should also be careful with extremely serrated or sharp knives. This could cause deep cuts in the wood.

Extra care
If the board does become more notchy or discoloured after use, you can sand the surface with 120-grit sandpaper. Afterwards, however, you should not forget to oil the board again. Linseed oil and walnut oil are particularly suitable for this purpose, as these oils do not become rancid and dry out in the air. The oil should be applied sparingly and evenly to the wood.
