The Ironman 2022 in St. George – my first world championship. In short, it was by far the most brutal and toughest race I’ve ever done.
The Ironman includes 3. 86 kilometers of swimming, 180. 2 kilometers of cycling and 42. 195 kilometers of running. The competition was in challenging conditions with only 15 °C in the water and up to 30 °C on land.
The race took place in no man’s land, since there were mountains, desert, but far and wide no civilization to see. As a result, the supply stations did not have access to electricity or running water. Therefore, I am very happy that QOOL was able to provide their passive boxes. While water got warm at some stations, the water bottles in the QOOL box remained very cool. I took the cold water and poured it right over my head to cool off in the desert of Utah.
As the QOOL Box keeps drinks cool for up to 10 days, we were able to place them relaxed next to the racetrack and use them for the final training before the start of the competition. Black things heat up faster, and even the black box stood in the bragging sun for days. However, the content remained cool as QOOL.
I am so grateful for QOOL!
